If your circumstances have changed and need to update your land tax details, you will need to lodge a return before the assessment notice due date.

Getting started with Land Tax Online
Land Tax Online helps you comply with your land tax and surcharge land tax obligations.
You can easily access Land Tax Online via your MyServiceNSW Account on the Service NSW website. This helps you conveniently manage your land tax in the same place as other NSW Government services.
Enter your client ID and correspondence ID to log in.
Your client ID and correspondence ID can be found at the top of your most recent correspondence from Revenue NSW.
If you do not have these IDs, you need to request a login for Land Tax Online.
Contact us if you have misplaced your client ID and correspondence ID. Call 1300 139 816 during business hours to enable access to your Land Tax Online account.
How to request a login for Land Tax Online
To log in to Land Tax Online you need a client ID and correspondence ID. It is like a username and password.
You need to request a login (pre-register) if you believe you are liable for land tax or surcharge land tax in NSW, and:
you have not received a land tax assessment notice or other land tax correspondence from Revenue NSW, and
you have never accessed Land Tax Online before, or
you are a property professional acting on behalf of a landowner – property professionals need to submit a separate login request form for each landowner(s).
To set up a new plan or change an existing plan, select Manage Payments then select Make a payment. Proceed to step 4. Proceed to step 7.
To view an existing plan, select Manage Payments then select View plan PDF.
Select duration and payment frequency. Accept the plan.
Select your payment method (direct debit, BPAY, credit card).
If direct debit is selected:
update/review existing bank details, or add new bank details
review and accept the direct debit terms and conditions, and
schedule the payment.
If you set up a 3 or 6 month plan and need more time to pay, you may increase the duration of your plan at any time as long as your payments are up to date. You can do this via the Manage Payments option in Land Tax Online.
Note
If your circumstances change, resulting in a reassessment, your payment plan and direct debit will be cancelled. You can manage your payment options in Land Tax Online.
You will receive an email from Revenue NSW to confirm your email address. Select the Confirm your email button in the email before the expiry date.
Keeping your sensitive information safe - what not to upload
Revenue NSW is bound by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP). We are committed to protecting your personal information and request that you do not upload documents which include sensitive details.
Sensitive details can be any of the following:
credit card details
bank card details
bank account numbers
tax file numbers
personal and health information not required for tax administration.
Please remove any sensitive information from your documents before uploading files to Land Tax Online.
