Instalment plans

If you can’t pay the full amount by the due date, you have two options.

Pay by instalment

You can pay your land tax in three instalments. If you do, each instalment will fall due one month after the last.

Your first instalment will include any overdue amounts, interest or penalties.

If you don’t pay an instalment on time, the total amount owing becomes due and you may be charged additional interest.

If you choose to pay by instalments and don't make a payment by the due date, daily interest will be calculated from the first due date, as if the instalment arrangement wasn't previously offered.

Set up a payment plan

You can apply for a payment plan to extend your payment dates.

You’ll must meet certain requirements to be eligible.

Contact us if you need more information or if you’re experiencing serious financial hardship.

Contact your bank if you need information on how to:

  • make BPAY payments from your cheque or savings account
  • pay with an electronic funds transfer (EFT).

Credit card payments are made through a secure Westpac link.

A 0.4 per cent card payment fee is automatically applied to all payments made with a credit card.

We accept payments by Mastercard or Visa up to $200,000.

When you make your payment, you must provide the correct:

  • biller code
