All the below changes will take effect from 1 July 2020.
Time restrictions have been eased to allow fine customers more time to choose to have their matter heard in court, request a review or nominate the responsible driver.
All customers can choose to pay their fines via a payment plan.
If you choose, we can send your fine notices digitally.
No matter who owns the vehicle, the responsible driver can now nominate to resolve the fine.
Legislation now allows for customers who are in financial hardship to apply to have their fine amount reduced.
If you answer yes to the above then you may be eligible for a reduction in fine amount, pending assessment of your circumstances by the Commissioner of Fines Administration.
