Claims lodged online are generally processed faster than claims sent by post.
If you cannot lodge your claim online, you can:
To show the money is yours, we’ll ask you for your proof of identity and evidence that you own or are entitled to the money.
If the unclaimed money has more than one owner, each owner needs to submit a claim.
If you are claiming money that belonged to a deceased person , you’ll need to provide additional information.
If the unclaimed money is in the name of a company at least two current directors of the company will need to submit a claim (one current director if the company is a sole director company).
Administration for deregistered companies is the responsibility of the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).

If the unclaimed money is in the name of a trust the current trustee(s) of the trust will need to submit a claim.
If the unclaimed money is in the name of a super fund the current trustee(s) of the super fund will need to submit a claim.
If the unclaimed money is in the name of a charity the approved officer of the charity will need to submit a claim.

Once we receive your completed claim form and all supporting documents, we will notify you if we require any additional information or when your claim is finalised.
If you do not provide all the requested documents, or we do not receive your completed claim within 28 days, your claim may be closed.
Documents must be clear and readable. Poor quality copies will not be accepted and may delay the processing of your claim.
