- House hunters can now use the Home Buyer Assistance Finder on nsw.gov.au to easily check their eligibility for the three main programs provided by the NSW Government.

Home buyers and builders
First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme
If you’re a first home buyer, you may be entitled to a concessional rate of transfer duty or even an exemption from paying it altogether under the First Home Buyers Assistance scheme (FHBAS).

Shared Equity Home Buyer Helper
If you’re a single parent, a single person aged 50 or over, or employed as a nurse, midwife, paramedic, teacher, early childhood educator or police officer, you may be eligible for support with buying a home.

First Home Owner Grant
If the first home you’re buying is a newly built or substantially renovated house, townhouse, apartment, unit or similar, or a house and land packagewith a comprehensive building contract, you may be eligible for a$10,000 grant.

Electric vehicles
Electric Vehicle Rebate
The NSW Government will offer $3,000 rebates for the first 25,000 new full battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), purchased for a dutiable value of less than $68,750 that are registered on or after 1 September 2021.

Electric Vehicle Stamp Duty Refund
The NSW Government will reimburse the stamp duty paid on purchases of new or used full battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), with a dutiable value up to and including $78,000, registered between 1 September 2021 and 14 August 2022.
