The NSW New Home Buyers Supplement (NHBS) was a $3,000 supplement paid on top of the First Home Owner Grant to first home owners who purchased a new home or vacant land on which they built their home. It only applied to purchases made between 14 October 2008 and 30 June 2010.
To be eligible for the NHBS, you first needed to meet the eligibility criteria for the First Home Owner Grant.
You also had to meet the qualifying criteria for the type of purchase you made.
If you bought a constructed home, you were eligible if the purchase date was between 11 November 2008 and 30 June 2010. To be classed as a newly constructed home:
