Ambulance fees

If you receive treatment and/or transport from NSW Ambulance, you will be required to pay a fee for this service unless you are exempt from payment. Ambulance fees are based on a call out charge plus a per kilometre charge.

When you receive an invoice from NSW Ambulance you must:

  • pay the invoice by the due date or
  • lodge your pension or health fund exemption.

If you do not pay the invoice from NSW Ambulance by the due date, we will issue an overdue notice and collect payment on their behalf.

    Call 1300 655 805 to pay by MasterCard or Visa. You'll need your payment reference number.

Pay by credit card

Before you start, you will need a copy of your notice. Only the person named on the Fee Notice, or an authorised representative of the organisation named, should access this information.

  • Credit card payments are made through a secure online Westpac link or by phone.
  • We accept Mastercard or Visa payments up to $50,000.
  • A 0.4 per cent fee applies to all credit card payments.
  • Unauthorised use of a credit card that has not been issued to you is a serious offence and can carry a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment.

Pay by BPAY

Contact your bank or financial institution to make a payment from your savings or transaction account by BPAY.

You'll need the payment reference number located on your fee notice under the payment options section. If you can't locate the payment reference number, contact us.

We do not accept credit card payments through BPAY. To pay by credit card, use our online service or pay by phone.

Pay before 3:30pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) to ensure your payment is processed overnight. Otherwise, the transaction will be processed overnight on the next working day. The processing of BPAY payment is dependent on your financial institution.

Pay by phone

Call 1300 655 805 to make your payment by MasterCard or Visa.

  • You'll need the payment reference number located on your fee notice under the payment options section.
  • You can set up a payment plan by phone any time through our automated service.
  • To ensure your payment is processed overnight, you must pay before 6.00pm on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Otherwise, the transaction will be processed overnight on the next working day.

Pay in person

Visit a post office to pay by cash or bank cheque.

Some post offices also accept personal cheques and EFTPOS payments.

Pay before 4:30pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) for the transaction to be processed overnight on the day of your payment.

Pay by mail

Sending payments by mail may result in delays in clearing your fee. You can also pay by using our secure online Westpac link or by phone.

When you pay by cheque or money order:

  • make your cheque or money order payable to the Chief Commissioner of State Revenue
  • write your name and payment reference number on the back of your cheque or money order
  • remove the payment slip from the bottom of your notice and include it with your payment
  • we must receive your payment by the due date.
