WDO self-service portal

Go to the WDO self-service portal

Approved sponsors support applications for Work and Development Orders (WDOs) and supervise the completion of activities or work undertaken by the applicant.

As an approved sponsor, you can use the WDO self-service portal to manage the administration of a WDO including:

  • making an application
  • submitting documents
  • reporting progress and
  • closing the WDO on completion of the required activities.

Login details

When you log into the new portal for the first time we suggest you consult the WDO self-service portal user guide (PDF, 5 MB) and have these details handy so you can enter some key administrative information.

  • After these details have been entered for the first time you will need to update them annually before they expire otherwise your portal access will be suspended.
  • Contact our WDO team for help if you are having problems accessing the new portal.

If you’re a health practitioner

Enter your AHPRA number and expiry date.

If you’re working with young people under 18 years of age, enter your Working with Children (WWC) check number and expiry date.

If you’re from an organisation

Your administrator will need to:

  • indicate if you’re willing to accept customers who have a Victim’s Restitution Order (VRO) debt
  • indicate if you provide services to people under 18 and if you do, enter your Working with Children (WWC) check number and expiry date for all users at your organisation
  • enter details of your insurance coverage including the policy number, expiry date and type of the policy that expires soonest – eg if your public liability policy expires on 30 December 2019 and a voluntary worker’s policy expires on 30 June 2020, enter details of the policy expiring in December.

The system is being updated so you can record details for all of the policies your organisation holds. The type of insurance required is provided below.

Self-service troubleshooting

Solutions to common issues are provided below. If you’re still having trouble you can:

  • consult the WDO self-service portal user guide (PDF, 5 MB)
  • contact your self-service portal administrator
  • contact us and include a screenshot of the problem if you are reporting the issue by email.

Can’t find login details

These are contained in the login email sent to you.

Username Your email address.
Temporary password The temporary password we’ve given you is case sensitive. When you log in for the first time you’ll be asked to change it.
Your new password When you set a new password it must have at least:
  • eight characters
  • one capital letter
  • one lower case letter
  • one number.

Can't use 'copy and paste' for login information

You can usually copy and paste your login information.

If it does not work with an HTML format email, try typing in the information and check that caps lock is not on.

Login failed message keeps appearing

Check that caps lock is not on when typing in your password.

If your password has expired, reset it.

Resetting your password

If you’ve forgotten your password you can reset it on the WDO self-service portal.

  1. At the login screen, enter your username with any series of characters and select ‘login’.
  2. You’ll be taken to a screen that says your login failed and prompts you to change your password.
  3. Select ‘click here’ and follow the prompts.
